Dreams Do Come True

Dreams do come true to those who wait,
And I know to this very day.
This Angel was the dream I had,
A dream that came my way.

It started back in '86,
My life was put on hold.
I just divorced my number one,
About six years before.

I didn't care to find a mate,
To live my old age through.
But something happened to my heart,
When I saw this dream walk by.

I noticed that she frequented,
This club each Friday night.
The place a real great stomping ground
For couples, Janes' and Mikes'.

I think it was the Beach Boys
Maybe even Brenda Lee;
I found my courage in a beer,
Asked her to dance with me.

She said okay and she led on
We met just on the floor.
She was pretty as a picture
A real live Satin Doll.

We walked back to her table,
And I asked "What is your name?"
She answered in an angel's voice
"It's Judith, Judith Elaine"

Another dance and then was three,
She really stole my heart.
Right then and there I kinda knew,
That she would be my wife.

Dreams do come true to those who wait,
And I know to this very day.
This Angel was the dream I had,
A dream that came and stayed.
